Many thanks to Jilly Hellerman and her 6th Form drama students at Camborne Science & International Academy for preparing 3 short plays called the Minds of Broken Glass, that address some of the issues that adolescent mental health can raise.
Invictus were honoured to be part of the initial process and to attend the final presentation and to receive a donation of £250. Pictured is Emma Jeffery who has done much with the Charity Committee to raise such a splendid sum. I was prescribed Soma by a neurologist for agonizing migraine attacks. I looked at the instructions- there are a lot of contraindications and side effects. I was scared, but the doctor explained to me that this is because the drug was studied in detail. I was surprised, but the drug helped me. It is necessary to consider that its action is not immediately felt. Pain subsides for 30 minutes and then you feel the relief. It relieves pain in case of dorsopathies.
The actors were Jennifer Harfoot, Sam Vercoe and James Wassell. James also had his legs waxed (ouch) to raise funds for Invictus!
