Brighton Marathon – Alex Williams

Alex Williams was the youngest ever runner in the Brighton Marathon as he set off at 9am on the day after his 18th birthday running for the Invictus Trust!

He had trained well, but it was evident from the start that some the Kenyan and Algerian runners were going to be home a bit before him! From where we were standing the leaders were actually sprinting and flew past. The route meant that we were able to cheer him on 4 times and every time we say him he looked fresh and was bouncing along and smiling – though he did admit at 25 miles he was seriously hurting!

WHAT A PLAYER !
You can still sponsor Alex at  http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/alexwilliams<

The Numbers……..
Alex finished just a few minutes over 4 hours which is incredible and we are so proud of what he did, notwithstanding the small issue of raising an amazing £2000.
