The Great Invictus Walk

27 hardy souls started the walk and at least 3 dogs. One person had to drop out after one mile but she is only 3 years old so well done Lily-Mae! Lunch at the Rashleigh Arms was very welcome after rain showers near Carlyon Golf Course and a couple of our party taking a wrong turn!

The steps up from the pub though took their toll and the wind at Gribben Head was intense. Down the hill and into Fowey where an ice-cream van provided a distraction and gave Claire chance to rest her knee! Onward to the Galleon on Fowey harbour.

10 felt 10 miles was a worthy effort and indeed it was, 2 others joined as we headed off for the final 5 miles. Hannah had to succumb to the effects of a rabbit hole on her ankle whilst the rest finished the scenic Hall Walk.

An amazing £4000 was raised – well done all.
